Riddick

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

Critics broadly viewed it as an enjoyable but formulaic return to the stripped-down survival intensity of Pitch Black, with uneven dialogue and characterization.

• Riddick must adapt to a sun-scorched planet whose fauna is more lethal than the human hunters pursuing him.
• The story returns Riddick to a solitary hostile planet and concentrates on predators, mercenaries, and escape.
• Riddick is abandoned as a target but quickly becomes the most formidable force confronting the mercenary teams.
• Riddick activates an emergency beacon to obtain rescue, bringing bounty hunters and a personal pursuer to the planet.

• Pitch Blackshared stripped-down survival science fiction, alien predators, mercenaries, and a morally ruthless protagonist
• Predatorsshared survival action, hostile alien ecology, muscular antihero, and escalating creature attacks
• The Chronicles of Riddickshared hard-edged science fiction action, bounty hunters, dystopian atmosphere, and an intensely physical lead
• Aliensshared creature-feature suspense, isolated hostile environment, and pragmatic survivors facing overwhelming predators
