Pasión de Gavilanes

The Reyes-Elizondo's idyllic lives are shattered by a murder charge against Eric and León.

Pasión de Gavilanes (2003-2022) is a Spanish-language telenovela, a long serialized melodrama built as a soap opera across two seasons and 270 episodes. The Reyes and Elizondo families live idyllic, privileged lives until a murder charge lands on Eric and León and shatters their world. Each episode is driven by accusations, secrets, and shifting alliances as the households pull against one another, with romance and rivalry threading through every confrontation. The story stays one continuing thread, moving at a measured pace and building emotional stakes through reversals and confrontations. The tone is melodramatic and emotional, with suspense and romantic longing carrying the viewer through the family conflict. Class tension, loyalty tested by scandal, and the pull between love and resentment give the series its heart. Fans of Yo soy Betty, la fea, Rubí and La Reina del Sur will find resonance in its blend of soap opera excess and sincere family feeling.

Audiences rate the telenovela positively for its melodramatic storytelling and strong ensemble performances, though its formula is familiar.
