CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

A Las Vegas team of forensic investigators are trained to solve criminal cases by scouring the crime scene, collecting irrefutable evidence and finding the missing pieces that solve the mystery.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000-2015) is a US network police procedural series created by Ann Donahue and Anthony E. Zuiker for CBS. Laurence Fishburne, William L. Petersen, Marg Helgenberger, Gary Dourdan, George Eads and Jorja Fox anchor a Las Vegas crime lab team whose members include crime scene supervisor Gil Grissom (William L. Petersen) and evidence specialist Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger). Across fifteen seasons and 335 episodes, the engine is simple and steady: each episode presents a fresh homicide, and the investigators must read blood spatter, fibers, insect life and trace residue to reconstruct what happened before the case goes cold. The format is case of the week, with personal threads running quietly beneath the casework. The tone is clinical and methodical, with gruesome autopsies offset by the glossy neon of the city. Fans of Law & Order, Bones and CSI: Miami will find the same blend of forensic science, team dynamics and procedural satisfaction.

Audiences rate the long-running Las Vegas forensic procedural as consistently solid, valuing its crime-scene puzzles and the ensemble of investigators.

• Bonesshared forensic science focus, serialized crime procedural with ensemble team
