Overview
Riley is growing up and when her memories need some extra processing, Joy and the rest of the Core Emotions send them to Dream Productions.
Dream Productions (2024) is a American animated mockumentary miniseries created by Mike Jones and Jaclyn Simon for Disney+. Set inside the mind of a growing girl named Riley (Kensington Tallman), it follows the Core Emotions, including Joy (Amy Poehler), who send Riley's memories to a studio called Dream Productions when they need extra processing. Paula Persimmon (Paula Pell) and Xeni (Richard Ayoade) are among the Dream Makers doing the work, and Jean Dewberry (Maya Rudolph) and Janelle (Ally Maki) round out the staff. Fear (Tony Hale), Anger (Lewis Black), Sadness (Phyllis Smith) and Disgust (Liza Lapira) appear as familiar faces from the emotional team. The four short episodes, each about 24 minutes, use a documentary-style look at the office to build a playful, warm and lightly comic world. Its tone is breezy, cozy and whimsical, with a theme of memory as creative labor. Fans of Inside Out, Bluey and Big City Greens will find resonance in its gentle family humor and bright 3d animation. The miniseries is a short, easy watch for families and tweens, and it is rated TV-G.
