Saint Seiya: The Hades Chapter

Hades is planning to take over the world, to achieve that goal, he sends out deceased Gold Saints to take Athena's head. Seiya and the other Bronze Saints come to help but their help isn't appreciated by the remaining Gold Saints that are still alive.

Saint Seiya: The Hades Chapter (2002-2008) is a Japanese animated shonen action series created for Toei Animation. Voiced by Masakazu Morita as Pegasus Seiya and Takahiro Sakurai as Dragon Shiryu, the story follows a band of young Bronze Saints who must protect the goddess Athena, voiced by Fumiko Orikasa, from the underworld lord Hades. Hades sends back fallen Gold Saints to seize Athena's head, and the Bronze Saints arrive to help, only to find their aid unwelcome among the surviving Gold Saints. The engine of the series is a steady escalation of mythic duels, each fight testing loyalty, courage and the bonds between warriors. Told across four seasons totaling thirty-one episodes, it moves in a serialized arc of battles rather than standalone adventures. The Greek constellation-armored warriors and the cosmic stakes of heaven versus hell give it an epic, heroic register. Its tone is earnest, rousing and emotionally charged, with spectacle built on sweeping battle sequences. Fans of Fist of the North Star, Hercules and the broader shonen tradition will find resonance here.

Fans and audiences broadly regard the Hades chapter as a highly acclaimed, epic capstone to the Saint Seiya saga, with its later seasons rated highest.
