ViVid Strike！

Raised up in the same orphanage, Fuuka and Rinne were once close friends but parted company after a quarrel ended up with Rinne overwhelmed Fuuka with her martial art skills. Fuuka has a life in poverty after leaving the orphanage. An accidental encounter with renowned martial arts champion Einhard Stratos discovered Fuuka's hidden talent in fighting; Einhard offered Fuuka a job and coaching, encouraging her to meet up with Rinne again — in a ring.

ViVid Strike！ (2016) is a Japanese animated spin-off series created by Masaki Tsuzuki and produced by Seven Arcs Pictures, airing across AT-X, MBS, TOKYO MX and other regional networks. It is a single-season run of twelve roughly 24-minute episodes, a shonen-style magical girl anime that trades transformation spectacle for bouts in a fighting ring. Fuuka, a young woman living in poverty after leaving her orphanage, gets her hidden talent for combat noticed by the champion Einhard Stratos, who offers her a job and coaching. Her goal is to find Rinne, once her closest friend from the orphanage, whose quarrel with Fuuka ended in a painful defeat and a lasting rift. Each episode is built around training sessions, rival matches and the slow rebuilding of a broken friendship. Voice cast credits include Kaori Mizuhashi as Vivio alongside Inori Minase, Yui Ogura and Mamiko Noto. The tone is earnest and energetic, with bright color and sporting spirit balanced against a wistful thread about old loyalties. Fans of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and Puella Magi Madoka Magica will find resonance here, along with those who enjoy competitive sports anime.

Audience reception is mixed to negative, with a modest audience rating of 6.1/10 from a small pool of votes.
