One Spring Night

When Lee Jeong-in and Yu Ji-ho meet, something unexpected happens. Or it just may be that spring is in the air -- and anything is possible.

One Spring Night (2019) is a South Korean romance drama created by Kim Eun for MBC, a single-season run of 32 episodes at about 35 minutes each. Han Ji-min plays Lee Jung-in, a pharmacist, opposite Jung Hae-in as Yoo Ji-ho, and the story follows their tentative, unexpected meeting as each carries private history into a new relationship. Supporting principal roles are filled by Kim Jun-han as Kwon Ki-seok, Joo Min-kyung as Lee Jae-in, and Kim Chang-wan as Kwon Young-kook, whose presence gives the central romance its everyday texture. The engine of the series is the slow pull between two adults who must decide whether a feeling that survived years apart is still real, and the obstacles are less villains than the weight of past choices and the rhythms of working life and parenthood. Each episode is built from small domestic moments, shared meals, library afternoons, and quiet conversations, so the drama accumulates through gesture rather than spectacle. Set in contemporary Seoul, the show carries a wistful, tender, sincere tone, with spring imagery that gives it a hopeful glow. Fans of Crash Landing on You, Something in the Rain and Reply 1988 will find the same unhurried, emotionally honest pleasure in this k-drama.

Audiences broadly rate this slow-burn romance highly for its tender, understated handling of love and loss.
